Matrix aims to provide computational products, applications and research support services to some of the most important companies in the world.

Inspired by the capabilities of applying evolutionary strategies to real-world problems Dr. Thuerk developed unique novel computer solutions, which now form the basis of the technology of Matrix. Exploiting the abstract capabilities of computer programs, which execute, evolve and adapt based on conventions relating to specific problems. This capability revolves around inter-processing units of algorithms. In contrast, neural networks provide for the interaction of very simple units (neurons), without any inter-processing capacities.

The company developed a novel technology that uses a proprietary combination of artificial neural networks, genetic programming, optimization techniques, expert systems, highly sophisticated signal processing methods and visual processing systems. In addition, the company also develops its own intelligent systems designed to provide solutions to complex problems using an adaptive approach.

The advantage of these software solutions lies in its resilience against distortions in the input data and their capability to learn. The software is optimized at solving problems that are too complex for conventional technologies (problems that do not have an algorithmic solution or for which an algorithmic solution is too complex to be found) and is often well suited to solve problems that people are good at solving, but for which traditional methods are not.

The company develops a unique set of algorithms that analyse and correlate data (even incomplete or noisy) in respect to the target. Some of these algorithms are based on evolutionary principles in that they evolve in relation to the problem. It is for this reason that Matrix does not require and is not inhibited by mathematical models or hypothesises.

Matrix AI-based algorithms extract the model and the relevant data points from the data itself.
