We are convinced that in today's world every individual and organization needs to unterstand that it is part of a social ecosystem and therefor be aware of its social responsibility. The Matrix team is combining its commitment to creativity and innovation with a commitment to our community and its future.
We have therefore started with a community outreach program in which our employees put children into contact with our passion for artifical creativity and our knowledge about programming, evolutionary strategies and machine learning. Thereby it is not intended just to teach the children the way it is done, moreover they are encouraged to develop, implement and program new concepts and ideas - all by themselves!
Starting 2008 with computer science classes for pupils aged 8 to 10 at the Godehard elementary school in Göttingen, Germany, we established a weekly course named "Robotix-AG". With its projects the Robotix-AG attended fairs, e.g. TectoYou at the Hannover Messe 2009, and won a robot competition organized by the DLR_School_Lab (German Aerospace Center). The enthusiasm and joy the kids show for us is a sure sign that we are doing the right thing.
