The goal was the development of a tool for the detection and numerical elimination of systematic errors occurring during the high-throughput-screening (HTS).
Numerous effects cause systematic errors in high-throughput-screening and therefore reduce the data quality significantly. These effects result in false positives or false negatives. Approaches to overcome this problem by assuming certain characteristics or a functional behaviour (e.g. linear relationships) can cover only a minority of all possible and real scenarios. A tool has been developed that, only given the measurement values, can split the signals into a systematic part and a erratic-like part caused by the compounds. Licensed to CyBio AG.
